As promised, here’s my post about the rum cake. I don’t have the cookbook with me at the moment, so I’m not posting the recipe. If you’d like it, leave a comment and I’ll share it with you. As I work my way through this cookbook, I find myself placing the cakes in two categories: “OMG, I can’t wait to make this again” or “This was good, but probably not something I’ll make again.” This one falls in the latter category. The flavor was good enough, but it was a little dry. It was just underwhelming. That said, it was cake, and you can never really go wrong with cake.
